Since 2017, Voice - Inglês para Elas have been transforming the lives of women through free English classes. This independent, non-profit social initiative operates in the Paraisópolis favela in São Paulo, Brazil, and has welcomed hundreds of women into its classrooms since its inception.
In a country as unequal as Brazil, learning English — the global language — remains a privilege for many. At Voice, we strive to provide this opportunity to more women, empowering them to build self-confidence and pursue better job prospects or achieve higher scores on university entrance exams.
We accomplish this by creating a safe and supportive environment where students feel at ease learning a new language, focusing on their personal growth, and creating meaningful friendships and connections.
